After finishing my masters degree I taught elementary music for a few years. It came to a point that I was no longer able to perform 4 nights a week and function as a full-time teacher. I reluctantly "retired" from teaching in the public school system and only weeks later began receiving phone calls to teach kids privately! I had been teaching lessons on and off for 8 years prior to this, but it wasn't until freeing up my days for the sake of singing that I had time to take on more than just a few students. Piano and voice lessons have become a way that I can still make a difference in childrens' lives (and on a more effective, one-on-one basis) and continue my singing career. I am so blessed to be able to follow both of my passions; singing, and teaching!
